My name is Casey Johnson. I am a student at CVABE, Barre, and recently I started building guitars for credits needed to graduate high school. I have always had an interest in playing guitars, so I thought it might be time to build one of my own. Now I am working on my fourth. I would love to begin my own career building electric guitars. I am not the type of person who can sit behind a desk all day, drinking coffee. I need to have my hands on doing the sometimes delicate work of crafting guitars. I am in the high school diploma program trying to finish up all credits needed before the end of the 2011 school year. I have been diligently working on history, as well as my guitar project. Next, I will probably be tackling my math credits to get them out of the way (to ease possible future stress). As you can probably tell from my last statement, "math ain't for me," but I know that it is important to be successful in life. I didn't work well in a public high school because people kept trying to bring me down with them and I wasn't letting them. CVABE has given me the chance to learn, get hands-on, meet new people, and last of all, express myself and learn in the ways that suit me. |
