Teaching Adult English Language Learners
Professional Development for Staff and Volunteer Teachers |
Sponsored by Learning Works, Vermont’s system of adult education and literacy,
and coordinated by the VT Dept of Education
1. It offers a series of training workshops to improve your skills and knowledge about a variety of pertinent topics listed below.
2. It offers a facilitated sharing session during the workshop as an opportunity for you to share materials, ask questions, and help each other.
You may come to all sessions in the series, or pick and choose. Those who complete all 5 sessions will receive a certificate of completion for the series. Please observe the registration deadlines and you will receive any relevant updates. |
| Trainer:Your trainer is Anne Connor. Anne has been in this training and support role for Learning Works for over 5 years. She has a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. By past participants Anne has been lauded for her content expertise, upbeat nature, and caring approach to helping teachers learn. She will be utilizing training materials developed by CAELA, the Center for Adult English Language Acquisition. |
