Welcome to Central Vermont Adult Basic Education

Central Vermont Adult Basic Education, Inc. the private non-profit serving Washington, Orange and Lamoille counties for 40+ years provides a full range of Adult Education and Literacy services.  The  organization is comprised of:

•  Paid professional staff strategically assigned throughout the tri-county region of central Vermont.
• Local volunteers working with CVABE so that all adults and teens can have a basic education.

CVABE provides the following services:

• Basic Literacy Instruction
• Adult Diploma
• English for Speakers of Other Languages
• College Readiness
• Family Literacy
• Education for Out-of-School Youth
• Computer Instruction
• GED Services
• Workplace and Pre-Vocational Technical Education

CVABE serves adults and teenagers with less than a twelfth grade education. These students include people in the workforce, those moving into employment, parents, immigrants and refugees.
